I told Melissa on Wednesday that babysitting wasn't going to work long term. So today was my last day. And I feel like I have my life back. Man! I am so glad I offered myself up to do that for Melissa for a couple weeks. But I am so glad I'm done.

Now just to pray she finds a long-term replacement! It's not good for little babies to have new care providers all the time. :/

Anyway, I love feeling like I can go do whatever I want again. However, I liked the excuse to get out of the house for several hours and I liked how Micah got so worn out that he practically slept through the night. I think I'm just going to have to be more intentional about wearing him out a bit more. Take him for walks... Have play dates... Go shopping... (I LOVE SHOPPING!) Just generally get out more.

Speaking of play dates, my friend Hayley had her baby today, and my other friend Savannah is in the hospital (same hospital as Hayley, actually!) waiting for her little girl to come. They started induction this morning at 6 AM. I haven't heard anything since--nor did I expect to. Induction is not a fast process. I hope she's doing okay.

Hayley's birth process started like mine--water breaking--and took almost as long. She's also an HSP like me... So it'll be super interesting to "compare notes" when I get to visit with her.

So both babies have the same birthday!! Caroline (Savannah's baby) was born at 6:28 PM today and Anya (Hayley's baby) was born at 9:20 AM or so. :D Savannah and Hayley both go to my church but they've never met, which is just hilarious. Now they totally have to!! LOL! I get to go visit them both tomorrow. I'm super excited. Steve and I will visit Savannah again on Saturday. Man, what a great way to end the day!!

Oh, the other thing that made today really great was that I pulled out all of Micah's 6-9 month stuff, and there are some seriously cute clothes! His 6 month things were not that cute so this is a very refreshing change. :D He even has a bunch of button down tops for Sundays!! He had NO nice Sunday clothes in his 6 month collection. I so need to buy more 6 month things just so I can have a "complete" collection. :D Anyway... Yay! Good day.
