My dad keeps asking to connect with me in ways other than e-mail. Can I have your phone number. When can you come visit us. Add me on Facebook. (No. No. And for the third time, no.) I see you're part of Hangouts, we should connect sometime. (I am? What the heck is Hangouts? Apparently it's like Google's version of FaceTime or Skype.)

I have no interest in connecting with him in any way but in person, and that ONCE, just so he can meet Steve and see Micah, but he's 3000 miles away, which is a super convenient excuse to not pursue it much.

You know, that and the fact that I've only met him once.

And that I haven't been sufficiently impressed by anything that he has said or done to motivate me to get to know him more than that.

Ugh.

What's frustrating is that no one can help me make these decisions. I can't ask somebody, "Should I or should I not cave into my dad's requests?"

I just can't think of a good way to let him know I don't want to get to know him.
