This is turning into the worst day.

Last night, I didn't get to sleep until 3 AM.

I couldn't get to sleep, for whatever reason. And then at 1 AM, Micah woke up and did this weird half-fussing thing for an hour and a half that kept me from sleeping. He didn't sound like he needed attention and it was too early for him to be hungry (I had just fed him at 11 PM). He just sounded like he was uncomfortable and was sleeping really poorly and choppily--if he was sleeping at all in the 5-minute intervals of quiet.

At 2:30, I finally fed him. He ate only one side and wouldn't touch the other. I set him back down in bed and settled into the mattress on his floor myself. I didn't hear another sound from him until 7 AM when he woke up to eat again. I knew it wasn't enough sleep, so I put him back in his crib afterward and he slept until 10.

I fed him around 11:30 AM. Put him down for a nap at 1 PM. It took him some time to settle down. Then he slept for half an hour and woke up doing the same weird half-fussing thing. But it only lasted a few minutes and he went back to sleep... And now at nearly 4:00 he is still sleeping...

Suffice to say I'm worried about him. I don't know if I should be letting him sleep like this.

Some of my friends suggested it might be an ear ache.

Anyway, while Micah napped, I laid down in my own bed. I only got about 20 minutes of light sleep in before he woke up with the half-fussing and then I couldn't get back to sleep, but I wanted to keep resting, so I stayed in the bed. In that time, I heard Genevieve barfing in the living room. I hoped it was just a hairball. But when I finally came out to the living area, it was, in fact, barf.

Sigh.

And to top it all off, I went into the laundry room and saw cat poop on the floor next to her litter box.

So it seems like everybody is having health problems in this house right now. Stephen thinks he has Micah's cold that we think he just had. But we're not even sure it was a cold.

Whyyyyyyyyy is life trying to beat me up right now.
