I think God put the cleaning girls situation in my life to keep me humble..and to keep me disciplined about cleaning my house.

Because every time they come I dread what comments they'll make about the way it's kept.

It's not like they're insulting--far from it. The comments are completely objective and observational. It's like constructive criticism, only it's not directed straight at me.

I've gotten lots lots better at keeping it cleaner since the big miscommunication with Grandma and the girls back in February.

I totally cleaned off the coffee table and my side table. I even took a paper towel to the kitchen counters and got off all the loose stuff before they came this time.

Baby steps, right?

Speaking of baby steps. Micah's learning to "cruise" in his pack 'n' play (walking while holding on to furniture). He's still really wobbly; he won't even be able to use a wheeled baby walker for another couple of weeks. But he's getting there! The kid is totally going to be walking before he crawls. (Right now he just army crawls.)

Okay. I feel a little bit better.

Seriously, though, every time they come (1x a month) I get a divine spanking, if you will.

Oh, discipline. Will I ever learn to love you.
