Random thought.

Today when I walked into a craft store, something became abundantly clear. Denim is the new burlap.

I'm finding it very fascinating that Americana is coming back into vogue. I've seen it other places too.

I thought America was sick of America? I thought it was cool now to be "global" and not so narrow-minded as to be patriotic? I thought the interest of my generation was to tell America everything they're doing wrong, and how we should be more like all these other countries? What is denim doing back on our shelves? And stars and stripes are on the shelves, too. Isn't all that awfully representative of all those backwards conservatives who hate gay people and love their institutionalized religion?

It will be VERY interesting to see where the next cultural swing brings us.

Winston Churchill said, "If you're not liberal at 20, you have no heart. If you're not conservative at 40, you have no brain."

I guess my generation is getting closer to 40.
