The Sermon on the Mount is one of the hardest parts of Scripture to read through. Every single week we've been in this study, I've felt convicted about something. This week it's conviction about giving only the bare minimum to some relationships. Last week I was convicted on anger and contempt in some relationships. The week before that I was convicted about the "light" and "salt" I add, or don't add, to my Facebook world. That was super convicting. I could be doing way better there, or else I should really cut down my friends list. Or something. Or just use it for a totally different reason. I don't know how to do that, though. It's my mini-diary. But I feel like it should be more like my other Diaryland journal, standongrace...which I haven't updated in too long.

So yeah. That's why today I'm having mixed feelings, even though it's my birthday.

I'm going to go pray and meditate and read Scripture now.
