I would write about our anniversary celebrations, but so much of the fun would be taken out of it because I don't get to say where we went. :) Suffice to say he took me to a place I LOVE and have only been to once before, and he had never been there. It was an adventure, for sure--in a BIG city! The city here looks backwards in comparison. It was quite startling to realize how big the world can be.

We also ate at an incredibly amazing restaurant here. Oh. My. Goodness. The food was unspeakably delicious and I would LOVE to go back. It's definitely special occasions only, though.

We also visited Stephen's family, which was fine. Nothing too exciting. Except I did burn my ring finger pretty bad when we were roasting marshmallows! I've never burnt my finger that bad. A piece of flaming marshmallow hit my jeans and I brushed it off with my finger...Owowowowow. It felt better by the morning, though, thank goodness. I can't even see the blisters anymore.

Other random tidbits of news... The day we left, a giant tree branch fell into an empty parking spot next to our downstairs neighbor's car. I mean HUGE! It was, like, half a tree! I guess it was rotting, and the high winds we've had lately just broke it totally off. I thought they were going to take down the whole tree while we were gone, but it's still there. The branch is gone though.

Our neighbor's car wasn't hurt at all, which is outstanding in and of itself. Even more of a miracle is the fact that they nearly parked their other car in the parking space where the tree hit. Obviously God protected them there! I hope God will use this to reach them even further. (They are Jehovah's Witnesses.)

Our glorious sunshine will be coming to an end this weekend. I think I'm ready for it. It's been SO dry. After static electricity and super-dry noses and lips and always feeling thirsty, part of me will be glad for some moisture.

Seems like there was something else...I don't know what it was now. My head is full of thoughts pertaining to The Avengers, which we just saw again. :)

Looking forward to Christmas already. Praying God is gracious to us as far as Stephen's work schedule goes.
