My poor little car! It's gone kaput three times in the last week.

The first day all it needed was a jump start. (Weak battery.) The second day we tried to jump start it and that didn't work. So my grandpa took it to a body shop, and they apparently fixed it and touched it up, too. But last night I tried to go home from Nate's (I returned a book, spent some time with his family for the last time this break--I go back to college tomorrow), and again it wouldn't start. Kristi had to take me home. My poor dead little car, left out in the cold at a strange house all night... I was sure I'd driven it for the last time. (Just like I've thought the last 10 times it's gone kaput. :) ) But today my grandpa drove over to try and jump start it, and he and Dave (but mostly my grandpa) figured out the ignition switch doesn't work anymore. My goodness. And I thought everything that could possibly go wrong with a car had gone wrong with mine.

So anyway. I said I was glad it wasn't the starter and was shown, again, how little I know about cars. Grandpa said a starter would've been easy to replace. Why do I try to sound smart?

He's going to try and get me a starter button. {sigh} Poor little blue car.

Oh well. At least it's still alive! One more life down... How many to go?
