I am confused.

What does it mean when people say, "Oh my goodness! This is sounding serious!"?

Argh. I'm so not getting this whole serious relationship stuff.

This is what I wrote to my aunt, who is the last person to have made the above remark to me:

"I'm not really sure what 'This is sounding serious!' means, but lots of people have been saying that to me about him as if it carries some kind of huge, important meaning behind it... I don't think I quite understand that. I certainly know I'm not ready for marriage yet and won't be for another year or two, and as far as I know, he understands that. But the way everyone calls us 'serious' it seems like everybody sees something I don't... I'm not sure how I feel about that, whether it worries me or just confuses me or what. I just feel like there's something everybody else sees that I'm not seeing... :/ What does it mean when people say that?"

Anyway... Waiting for her reply, maybe she'll be able to clear things up for me. I'm very confused. And I have this bad feeling that she's going to defer me to my mother or my grandparents and neither of them will give me a straight answer and I'll have to search the ends of the earth for SOMEBODY who will give me a real answer.

Grr. Why do I have to be so naive and blind about stuff like this? I feel like in my blindness I'm going to blunder straight into something I would rather not have encountered just yet. Merg...

Hi God. I'm very, very confused, so I'm just going to sit patiently and wait for your instruction.

I have learned so much about patience on God and in life in the last three years, it's incredible. I'm working on pride now, but I am sure making good use of the last 3 years' lessons! Thank you to all who made those possible for me. ;)
