I wonder why God lets us lose valuable, precious things all the time. Like beloved gold and diamond earrings.

I lost one of the tiny diamond earrings that Stephen bought for my graduation present today. :( I'm very sad... I'm somewhat comforted by the fact that they were probably not very expensive earrings, but I loved them because I'd never been given diamond earrings before.

I'm hoping it's located somewhere in our messy apartment, but how do you find something 2mm wide and virtually the same color as the carpet? I need a magnifying glass or something.

If I find it again, I'm going to treasure it even more. Maybe that's why God lets us lose small things like that that are still precious to our hearts--to teach us the value of them.

I wrote my question in my Facebook status. I have a feeling Stephen's mom is going to say something to the effect of: "To teach us that God is the only thing we should value." I'm kind of tired of her constant comments like that. Does nothing have value to her? I don't think I've ever loved my diamond earrings more than I love God, so I wish she'd quit thinking so.

I just don't understand Ns.

Tired and frustrated.
