My husband completely befuddles me.

It just came out on the news (ABC news article) that Texas is petitioning to secede from the nation and they have achieved the necessary 25,000 signatures for Obama to comment.

Stephen called his mother just to ask her if she had heard the news yet. Then after he had gotten her up on what little details there are, he calmly wished her good night and got off the phone.

Does this seem like it ought to be a bigger deal than that to anybody else???

Stephen explained it to me. He said it's just the people of Texas--not the government of Texas. Until it's the government of Texas, it's not a really big deal.
