Heidi's Flowers vs. Cari's Flowers
11:47 a.m. || February 22, 2013

I'm taking a break from thinking about Heidi's flowers to save my sanity, and I'm thinking about Stephen's sister, Cari's flowers instead. And I don't know if it's because I'm coming off of being immersed in Heidi's classic, elegant, red-black-and-white wedding world, but I'm looking at Cari's wildflower wedding ideas and am just in LOVE! And she is allowing me such freedom. (At this point, anyway...Haha, we'll see what she thinks when it gets closer!) And she's such a free-spirited person herself. I can go crazy with her flowers! I could probably make *none* of the boutonnieres look alike, except for staying within the wildflower theme, and she would be totally happy. :)

Anyways. It is putting me on a high to look at her flowers on her Pinterest board. LOL.

And it's helping with my stress level with Heidi. I did the flowers yesterday and have been freaking out ever since. Hence distracting myself with Cari's flowers.

Tonight she'll see them (Heidi). My instinct says she'll probably say the boys' boutonnnieres have too many flowers (they have two spray roses). I don't know if it's Alex or Heidi, but one of them thinks flowers on guys is embarrassing. It's most likely Alex. And I put 3 flowers on his to set him apart, so I am thinking I'll probably have to snip off at least one of them. I'm embarrassed, because I think it looks fantastic and I don't think flowers on guys is stupid at all. It's a WEDDING. That's what people DO. But it's embarrassing to think one thing looks great and have your bride tell you otherwise. :(

Which is why I'm going to love doing Cari's wedding. She pretty much said she'll love whatever I do.

And I am going to LOVE having brides like that.

But unfortunately most of them will probably be more like Heidi.

If nothing else, this makes me love my sister-in-law all the more, which is good. She is family, after all. Friends come and go; family you're stuck with for the rest of your life. :)

Which is why it's so hard to be at odds with my sister. But that's another story.

Anyway...Just some much less frantic thoughts for today, but do keep me in your prayers as I face Heidi tonight. I get a sick feeling every time I think of her laying eyes on the flowers.
