We just watched a docu-drama called "The Big Short" about the housing crash of 2008. It's kind of scary, honestly, because we seem to be in another housing bubble, at least from the prices of housing skyrocketing around us. It leaves us in an awkward position. On the one hand, we could stay with Grandma until the market crashes again and then buy when the prices are low. But that would also mean Grandma wouldn't get the money she needs from the sale of her house because her house price is going to drop, too.

Not that it's up to us. It's still Grandma moves-->we move.

Which wouldn't be so bad if all our friends weren't moving further away from us.

I may have to just put down roots in our town. :/ I guess that's okay, but it just wasn't what I was expecting. I just hate to have to keep driving 30-45 minutes away for playdates. But our whole support group is centered in our church and we aren't going to find many more local friends there.

Stephen says I should just invite them to our house more. I suppose he's right. Why does it feel so much more appropriate for me to drive to them? Maybe because of my house growing up...

Well, it's midnight now and I'm in a cycle of going to bed way too late again. So I need to go to bed before it gets any later.
