I had a lousy day that I don't feel like writing about, but here's a poem I wrote late last night.

Morning

Drag your sleeping head up off the pillow
Out of the fields of dragonflies and lavendar
Out of the misted spray of dreams
Away form the rainbow-lighted paths
Pull your dreaming mind from golden lands and azure skies
Face the low-lit dawning of the day
Awaken to the fresh and crisp of morning

Obviously not a rhyming poem, just free verse. Kinda nice, though. That's all.
