"Acknowledging and accepting that the soul will endure can help us to see that relationship with God--who will always remain--must become the all-important goal of our lives.

"Dear Father, help us to clear away the things that distract us from loving and serving you. Amen.

"When all else is gone, what will your relationship with God be?"

For the first time in a long time, I'm going to sit down and analyze my relationship with you.
Who are you to me?
Who am I to you?
Where am I in this walk?
What concept of you and my relationship with you dominates my beliefs right now?
I'm taking off my rose-colored glasses and I'm going to take a real look at myself right now.

First, who are you to me?

You are a God who can sort out my problems.

Who am I to you? (In my own opinion.)

Someone you love very much.

Where am I in this walk?

I'm doing fine on my own.

What's my idea of a relationship with you?

I can come running to you with my problems, but I pretty much don't need you otherwise.

All right, God, how do I get out of this?
