That was a great first-interview experience. It really was. I didn't get the job, but they guy was SO incredibly nice. I was in the top 3 finalists for the job position, out of 90 inquiries! He was impressed with how I answered the questions and he said some really nice things about me. I could not have asked for a better first-interview experience. That was really encouraging.

I'm doing well at this job stuff--surprisingly! It's not as difficult to be professional and businesslike as I had imagined it would be. I wish someone would hire me, but I know I've got to just keep going after job opportunities. Perseverance. Yeah, I can do that.

I'm also learning that there are more nice people in this big city than I thought, which is also highly encouraging. I expect to meet them at churches, but the other day I met a nice cashier at a restaurant and then the man who interviewed me. I keep being surprised. It's really nice.

If you're wondering why I think only not-nice people live in the big cities (LOL), I can't really tell you. It's just one of those inexplicable assumptions people have built into them because of their background. I'm sure I could analyze it and come up with an answer or two, but it wouldn't be the complete answer. I'm sure it has something to do with all the books and magazines I read as a kid and young teen though. :)
