3rd Annual Bake Day
11:54 p.m. || December 15, 2012

Mmmmmm....Oh delicious sugar cookies.

Today I had our third annual bake day with my mom and aunt. I think it wears Gail out a little (have you ever tried to make 3 separate batches of Christmas cookies in one day?), but it's always so much fun. Especially the decorating part.

Geri, Mom's roommate, came, and even she enjoyed the cookie decorating. She doesn't strike me as super artistic, so that was neat.

We also celebrated Mom's birthday today. She liked the slippers I got her, although she's going to have to get a bigger size. Hope the store still has them!

We celebrated Stephen's birthday a little bit, too. Mom and Geri got him a milk frother, only they didn't get the little gadget that we had in mind, they got a whole kitchen appliance! LOL. We don't really have room for it...But Stephen is happy with it and doesn't want to exchange it. :)

Gail got him an instant coffee variety pack from Starbucks, which he was also very happy with. It's pretty funny--she didn't even know if he needed a special machine for it or anything. :D She, like me, is not a coffee drinker and is quite out of touch with that world, haha!

After Mom and Geri left, Stephen and I stayed behind a little bit. I got to show Gail some All Natural Face stuff, which she really seemed to appreciate (!). She was blown away by the prices, too--how low they were. I was blown away that she was blown away by them! A single, 50-ish career woman and a 26-year-old, married, no-job woman have very standards of living. She told me, as she held up the 1 oz. bottle of age-defying moisturizer, "Women pay $80 for something this size."

Insane.

Anyway, then my love accidentally hijacked the conversation with theological discussion based on some of Gail's questions from our last visit with her. I love the man, and the conversation was GREAT and so necessary, but I wish he had waited until I was done showing Gail the rest of the All Natural Face stuff. But I talked it over with him afterward and he was so apologetic. :) I love that guy to pieces. He is so quick to apologize. I wish I were as good at it as he is.

Anyway, I should get off and get ready for bed. We've been staying up WAY too late lately...No good!
