Dear Diary,

I just figured out why I like my job so much.

In day-to-day life, I'm terrible at facing up to my own failings. But in any artistic project, I'm forced to face up to mistakes over and over again. But because it's only an art project, the emotions of failing don't overwhelm me so much that I don't learn the lesson. It takes a degree of objectivity to make it so that the emotions of failing don't blind my heart to the lesson itself.
