I had this flash of insight today that immediately made me think, "I should have realized this before." I feel like an idiot. LOL.

Homeschooling families are going to have a disproportionate percentage of special needs kids.

Duuuuuuhhhh. LOL. Because special needs kids are the ones who don't do as well in government schools.

Tonight at the end-of-the-year art show, Brittany was telling me that her daughter had ADHD, dyslexia, and probably on the spectrum. The same 3 things my son has. Her daughter doesn't seem that way to me, so my first thought was a scoff--then it dawned on me. Maybe that's why they began homeschooling in the first place.

Anyway. Just taught me not to judge so quickly and to trust other parents' judgments of their children. :) Brittany seems like she has some ADD, but I didn't suspect it in her daughter.

I'm sad she and Sarah are leaving the co-op. I was really learning to like them.
