Okay, God, I can't do this. I can't just stand by and watch her take a detour off the straight and narrow path of not getting too emotionally involved. IT'S TORTURE!

God, You never promised life would be easy. Maybe I just need to realize that. Emotions make life complicated, and that's what she'll be experiencing for the next few months, or maybe even years, depending on how long the relationshp lasts and how long it takes her to get over it when it ends.

So God, oh God, just help her get what she can out of the relationship. There's nothing I can do anymore but pray. Help her not to leave irreparably scarred against romance. Help her learn from this. Please, God, spare her lingering self-punishment.

Help me give her up.
