I'm in a poetry-writing mood lately. What should I write about tonight?

Hm... I could write about two things.

Shades of pink flush her face
Rosy hues marked with grace
She smiles, lightly lifts her hand
He takes it, rises to a stand,
Slips forever 'round her finger
Cameras click and lovers linger
Crying, joy full bursting bright,
Kisses, hugs, and happy sighs.

Lookers' longing, lovestruck looks
At end/beginning chapter/book.
Dreamers dream the destined day,
Couples glance each other's way.
White and crystal, lace and pearls
Set enamored minds awhirl.
While older couples contemplate,
The diamond moment draws away.

And for a friend of mine who unfortunately is on the other end of the spectrum... Poor girl...

Broken
Angry
Feeling used
Weeping
Crying
Love-abused
Sobbing
Choppy
Gasping words
Hugging
Holding
Friends by turns
Guided gently out the door
Taken home to hurt and mourn

I'm sorry, girl. It really hurts... We love you.
