I came in here all set on writing something... And now I don't remember what it was. Exactly. I remember it was about this guy from school (no, you haven't "met" him yet), but I can't remember what exactly I was going to write about him. Something he said at the dance...

Oh, yes. I went to homecoming dance Saturday night.

First dance I've ever been to in my life.

LOL. Yep. That's right. Senior in high school, and never been to a dance before.

Actually, maybe that's not so uncommon in other places. It's REALLY uncommon here though!

So, about the dance... Yes, I had fun. Not the entire time, but I did have fun!

I went without a date, but�oddly enough�my sister's date danced and hung out with me a lot. It was kind of funny.... In my sister's words, they "came to the dance and went completely different directions!" They are both very social types, and spent, like, one or two dances together, and all the rest of the time socialized.

I had tons of fun when I was with Nate. He made me step out of my box... He made me get into the dance... In fact, he's the one who convinced me to go in the first place. No kidding! All week and even the week before that, too, he kept telling me, "You should go to the dance! You'd have lots of fun." And, what do you know! I went.

He also got Logan's name out of me. In other words, he asked me at the beginning of last week, "So who is it that you wanted to go to the dance with?" (Somehow he'd gotten me to admit that I did want to go with a guy, but he was going with someone else.) And I actually told him, with hardly a second thought. Crazy! I don't know what it is�he's got some sort of totally disarming charm about him. Better watch myself, eh? :)

Goodness, I wish I could remember what it was I came in here to write about him. Now I have to get offline. :P Maybe I'll remember late and actually WRITE IT DOWN so I won't forget it again. :)
