Inclement Weather
6:51 p.m. || January 31, 2008

Lord, please protect drivers tomorrow and tonight from accidents due to the wet, cold weather. Please let the snow and rain let up and let the temperatures get and stay above freezing for a while so we won't all be driving on a sheet of ice for the next month. Protect everybody who's driving right now in rush hour, and protect them again when they drive again tomorrow morning. Keep me and my aunt safe as we go to pick up my mom tomorrow from the airport.

Thank you for the wet weather in that it'll bring us a good spring. Thank you for the end to the drought in this valley.

Amen

It snowed five inches on Tuesday. I had two classes canceled because of it. Wednesday I had one class canceled. Today I had yet another class canceled, and it was snowy all morning, windy all day. About 2:00 the temperature got to above freezing and all the snow started turning to slush. It begain raining at about 5:00 and then suddenly turned back to snow about 6:30. Tonight the low is 25 degrees and everything will freeze. Tomorrow more snow is predicted and I have to go get my mom from the airport--a half an hour drive in normal weather on the freeway.

My aunt is taking me.

I can't believe how crazy the weather has been this year. Not only here, but everywhere! The whole region has just been dumped on with snow, and the coastal areas are getting rained on like crazy.

This wouldn't be so weird, except that we've been having drought conditions for about 10 years.

I can't wait for winter to be over and spring to come. I'm tired of fearing for my life every time I go out driving... :S
