My roommate from last year is going to get married.

I am completely surprised--she's one of the last people I expected to get married--but really glad for her. I can't wait to tell my single friends. :D There is hope!!! LOL.

It's cool, how love is such a leveler. Tannis and I understand each other SO well now, and we are probably the most extreme opposite people you can find. Neither of us are really sure how we ended up not killing each other the whole year we were roommates.

So funny! :D Tannis herself said that she "didn't expect love to affect a personality change in her!" She's changed--love does that.

I'm really happy for her. :D

That's all. I'm gonna go snuggle with my husband. :)

Excerpts from my diary entry from this morning:

Listening to Tannis is funny. She is completely smitten. :) It's fun when you can tell something's working, even from an outsider's standpoint.

What's also amusing is that Tannis is the ONLY past roommate of mine who will be getting married, and, as I said, she is the LAST one anyone would have guessed. Crazy!!

All of my other past roommates are very single. :( Most of them want to get married. Becca doesn't--which probably means she'll be next, LOL.

I can't do anything to convince that girl that love will come. I actually worry about her. She's really jaded about marriage. I hope my marriage can help ease her cynicism, but I know I can't force her to change her mind. She's pretty stubborn. But I do worry.

I think Mindy might perhaps be next. I mean compared with my other single friends' readiness for marriage.

Becca is way too much like me. LOL. I just realized this. She's like me in that the harder you try to convince her of something, the less likely it is to work. :)

But Mindy. I could definitely see marriage on the horizon for her. I imagine it'll be her next boyfriend. She's the sort to (like me) learn a LOT from one relationship. Enough to be very wise in her next relationship choice.

[Kevin] seems to really love [Tannis]. And anybody who can love Tannis this much after 8 months with her is TOTALLY a keeper! :) (Even she knows she's hard to deal with, LOL.)

Tannis is like me in that respect: she knows her shortcomings inside and out. And when somebody loves her for or in spite of all her shortcomings, that's a treasure worth keeping. It's prettty cool.

It makes me happy to see my single friends fall in love. It changes them. Tannis put it pretty well, I thought: "I feel like I've found something I didn't know I was missing!" That sums it up pretty well. :)
