BRR. It's COLD! Today was the most brutally cold day we've had so far. It always happens when there's fog. Somehow the day is always more freezing cold when there's fog.

It came Saturday evening and hasn't left yet. We saw the sun this morning as a white glowing orb, but it rose too high and all the clouds are keeping its light from reaching us. But today the fog did do something cool. All the tree leaves and branches and berries are frosted white around the edges. One of my classmates called it hoarfrost.

My "winter jacket" doesn't appear to be warm enough to last me the winter, which is unfortunate. Maybe wearing a scarf will help. I wish I could wear a snowsuit all day so my legs would be warm. Why don't they invent a fashionable article of clothing that provides more insulation than denim blue jeans or cotton khakis? BRR!

I wish I could say that I'm done going outside for the day. Wouldn't that be nice! But I have to go to work, dinner and another choir rehearsal tonight. We had 5 last week and two concerts and we have three this week and two concerts--three if you count chapel. After that we're done for a while. YAY!

Anyway, on another note, I am seriously learning to love my 4th period field experience class. They're doing essays right now, which, for those of you who remember from last spring, know is my LEAST favorite kind of writing! But today I helped three kids, and one of them thanked me for my help afterward. Aww!! That was such a great feeling. I love feeling like I have helped someone. Which is part of the reason I decided to become a teacher... Conversations like this one and the one from yesterday are huge for me. I love it when I feel like I've helped somebody, made a difference, 'cause sometimes I just feel so...inadequate. Bumbly. (Great word. :D )

Anyway. I love that class. I love helping people figure stuff out. I'm going to go to work.
